Sieswerda Reunion 2005 - Camp Rehoboth

I would like to report that the 2005 Sieswerda Reunion in Rehoboth, Alberta was a phenomonal success!
Congratulations to all who those who attended. You have set the bar for many more reunions to come.

On July 29, 2005 Sieswerda family from around the world attended our first ever international family reunion. Family members from three different countries including Canada, The United States and The Netherlands gathered at Camp Rehoboth in Alberta, Canada for three days of fun filled family activities. The reunion ran from the 29th to the 31st of July.

Reunion Coordinator Ina Olydam (Sieswerda) began preperations for the reunion during the summer of 2004. For over a year she planned and organized every aspect of the event from booking a suitable location to planning meals and activities. Family who wished to attend had to register by mail or through www.sieslist.com using an online form. In total 50 family members attended the reunion.

Activities during the three day event included a three-legged race, water sponge relay, various other water racing events, frisbee toss, badminton, campfire chat and Bridge, among others. Water themed sports dominated the list of activities due to above average Edmonton temperatures of up to 28 degrees celcius.
