The name Sieswerda comes from the small part of Europe that we all know as the Netherlands. Born in the time of Napoleon, the name has experienced little change. But those who carry the name have multiplied, and our numbers have increased exponentially. Since the time of our common ancestors Isbran (Isbrant) Pytters and later Bauke Jentjes Van Sieswerd, the founder of the Sieswerda name, we have steadily been spreading across the world. Sieswerdas are known to be all over the world, from the Netherlands to the U.S.A. From Australia to Canada and even in the British Isles. The main focus of this site is to collect as much information about our family as possible. We wish to amass a database containing information about as many Sieswerdas as we can find. Hopefully all of them. To do this we require your help to spread the word to anyone you know who either has the last name Sieswerda, Sijswerda, Syswerda or whose maiden name was one of these.
